I do agree that I should take responsibility for my work. This is why I experimented on a small side project with a limited user base instead of my main app, which generates my income. What really sold vibe Coding to me was the idea that I

That's a lot of "if" to bet my career on. I can't see a situation where I can do most of my work using LLMs and retain my coding skills. I can see it with people who used to be great developers and moved to management. A

We're not taking 6 months off. We take a conservative approach. We keep doing our job and get better at it (with the help of AI too). The vibe coders aren't leaving us in the dust. They're just getting a short-term loan. If i

I'll accept this criticism. I've only done it for a month or so. That said, I do feel confident that, after reading plenty of online articles, I have learnt 80% of AI coding skills. I configured Playwright and PostgreSQL MCP. Load

How can I do that if I'm vibe coding and don't even know what a "tight abstractions" looks like?

This is my plan. Ignore the hype. Try again later. There's no need for FOMO. I have plenty of time to catch up.

The greenfield phase feels amazing and if it stopped there I would have been really happy. This is where LLMs are really good. It's also a lot more fun than glueing tools together so I can see more people getting into it. It's not

If you can prompt AI that well, couldn't you just explain it to another human? Or is it the faster prototyping iterations that help them refine their ideas? As in, I'm not sure what I want so I'll use AI to build a few protot

It's great that more non developers can create their own software now and I made it clear that I'm in full agreement with this. What I'd argue is that people who build software professionally and got really good at it (or wa

Thanks for the feedback. I mostly used Grammarly. I had a lot of small mistakes like “remenber”. The LLM helped me figure out things like “used to been”. Sometimes things were a bit too disconnected and it pointed out the gaps. As I said,

Can you add the extension to an existing database?

Another point is that Typescript is most powerful when you use it everywhere and share types. E.g: Between frontend and backend API. It’s hard to keep track of where something is used when you change it. Typescript can do it for you.

I have been working in London as a developer for 7 years and, to me, it’s the best city in Europe to be in tech. Maybe I could be making 3 times more in SF but I wouldn’t be in Europe, close to my friends and family.
