I've pre-packed game asset data to the end of EXE files using this trick and it seems that newer neural network virus scanners seem to the the only type of scanner to pick it up. So we may even lose the ability to do that soon once the

Why not combine this with a second different hash? E: Better yet, only run the second hash if you have a collision, which should be very rare.

I've long since deleted the email updates. It was in regards to them removing semicolons as separators for lists of email addresses. You can only use commas now.

I may be misinterpreting the question here but can't the author just use a large prime to to pull from the array like you would when hashing? Its how you would in place shuffle a music playlist.

Fun trick you can do, at least on windows, it to append your data to the program's file with the offset as the very last thing you write so that it's easy for it to find. I've run various programs like this through virus scan
