And that's why Facebook's Press Release[0] does not mention the word Cryptocurrency. Just "blockchain technology". [0]: https://scontent.fvno2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.2365-6/65035641...

In the presentation they talk about how the authorisation returns a stable, team-scoped (that means same developer) id.

Fantastic. Just downgraded from Pro to Plus, saving 100 Euros per year. All I wanted was SmartSync, previously exclusive to Pro.

Fantastic font. I've long seen Helvetica (literally meaning "Swiss" with one added letter) used in official US forms, communication and the like. If this becomes the "US brand" and replaces Helvetica as a national f

Devil’s advocate here, but I think geolocation is more important than SIM card or place of purchase. China doesn’t want certain information within its borders. If you could “smuggle” it via outside phone + outside SIM, it makes all protecti

I'm getting a wall: No Access The web page you were trying to visit is not accessible in your country. Lithuania (Europe) here. Is this GDPR thing or something more?

I hardly ever get to just check the box. I think uBlock Origin and Safari's intelligent cookie blocking removes a lot of identifying details, and ReCAPTCHA relies a lot on browsing history and cookies.

The fact that on the fifth time it rose to #1 spot, while not getting more than 2 points the first 4 times it was posted shows just how much luck is involved in getting past the "New" page.

I've recently moved away from Fastmail (been a paying client for 5+ years) to Mailbox.org. The Australian Assistance and Access bill scared me off.

As a designer, I have no problem calling myself UX designer. Sure, “users”, whatever. We never lose sight of the fact that user is a human being and we are designing for other sensitive, diverse people. User is an established term for a per

Really nice UI. Simple, neutral and sharp. In addition to other feedback in this thread, I'd also want the Volume icon to change: show muted state / volume level state without showing the slider. YouTube does this well.

Early web was quite decentralized already. Many separate Bulletin Boards, later forums. Many people writing there had an idea how to create their own. It didn't start centralized. Centralization happened. I might be more cynical than I
