There are a few free alternatives that has this feature, for example MonoSnap and Skitch (I think). I use MonoSnap myself.

Is it possible to upload via sftp for example? Or is it only usable with your hosted service?

I am a bit surprised I have heard absolutely nothing about this via. email (I'm a customer). From what I remember of the last security incident I did not get an email until way after it had become publicly known. You guys really need t

I have a cron job that looks at comments in a thread about every 2-5 minutes. At most it should be making a call to find a subreddit and then a call to find the comments.

I am not, and I have no plans to do that. But for the particular problem, it would be a solution, provided Reddit did not have any mechanics in place to prevent that exact thing. And it would be stupid to assume you do not. I have no intere

I don't know where the 10,000 daily steps figure comes from, but moving around more than two hours daily seems like a fairly reasonable thing to do in order to remain healthy. Or maybe run for 45 minutes, or walk to work, or go swimmin

This is cool, but if you had a webcam in the first place, why not just stream it on the local network? appear.in seems to be exactly the same a vline.com, or perhaps it's the other way around(?). I kind of thought they were the same se

That might very well work, but part of the problem would be the content others generate about you. Pictures and video of you, mentions of where you have been and so on.

I have been thinking about it, but around here Facebook is so common it would be weird not to have it. My friends never send SMS any more, they use Facebook messenger. Nobody asks you for your phone number, they ask to add you on Facebook.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. I do understand your view as well, and I share parts of it, I think that it will hopefully and probably end up helping the linux community, but I still think this midway period, if

Using window managers as an example was a bad choice, they are like clothes, people like different styles. But why do we need more than one good way of displaying stuff on screens (X, Wayland, Mir, etc)? Competition is good, but not if we e

So what you are saying, really, is that it's okay to have 5 different ways of playing audio on the machine? Do we need three different display servers/ways to show things on screen? No, we do not. If we managed to focus our effort

If you are doing something as important as this, why aren't you at least running some sort of RAID setup that would have been fine with losing a disk? Or at the very minimum had a decent backup setup so that you would not lose data. Fo

When it comes to that I like how it is with xbox 360 games. I can just lend my friend the disk and he can play the game. A PC game is not that easy, why is pirating a bigger problem on computers than consoles? Or is it so? I'm not enti

Ah, I understand then. I just do not understand the people buying a new phone every time there is a new model. I can understand wanting the software upgrade, but in terms of hardware I do not think it's worth upgrading all the time.
