That's a deceptive title. The real point is more important (but less sensational): Reality is what matters. When glibc changed memcpy, it created problems. Saying "not my problem" is irresponsible when it hurts users.

The API might make HNers cringe but quartz is a tried and tested scheduler that we've used in production for six years without any issues. Relaible software that you don't have to maintain is really valuable.

I asked how to roll back the changes. He said "we don't roll back, we fix the code." Not the best idea. I don't debug as well under the extreme pressure of my site being broken with the clock ticking.
