I got my three kids desks for christmas. Put them down to bed for the night and smoke a little weed. I was shocked how I couldn’t follow ikea desk instructions. Got frustrated and decided to try again sober. I was super shocked the next day

Can you expand on that? What feature do you use in east 1 that isn’t everywhere else that it’s your whole implementation?

Their pricing is nutty to me. We have a share point folder at my job with a bunch of postman collections. Sure it would be nice to have that all built into postman but I think it’s $20 a month per employee. For that much just go on share po

It’s a video game system. You can make do without floating point. The whole “it doesn’t have fp so whobbly textures” is a myth.

Defragging puts files in a line so a spinning disc with a magnetic head can read it cleanly with one swipe. You phone works simple by asking for data from addresses. Not saying it’s perfect. Files can be fragmented so you may send a few mor

My mid 90s is FreeBSD. Two floppies and a 14.4k on the install. 486 66dx2 with 20 megs of ram and the thing cooked. I used that server up until 2002 as a proxy server (this is before the age of updating software for security). I finally did

I wonder how much google stores. My dumb butt has close to 100TB of…uhh…Linux isos encrypted and hooked up to plex for $20 a month. Seems like a loss leader for them. But I always think of the multiple spinning discs I’m taking over there f

Here I am thinking I’m the only one. Tossing and turning in the middle of the night for hours just to bang it out for 15 minutes the next day for everyone to go “oh that was easy” no it wasn’t!

My non work laptop has 4GB (2013 MacBook Air running Linux). Works perfect as a daily driver. I wouldn’t want to work on it but I don’t code huge projects on my personal time. I prefer not to code on off time.

There’s no hiding something this easily exploitable. This isn’t rowhammer or spectre where you need a degree to understand it. Copy and paste this in and that’s it. It would have never survived “responsible disclosure”

As with any short answer the real answer is “it depends”. Any modern internal phone system has a dial plan and the default will certainly call 911 but you can certainly change it. I used to work inside a call center where you had to dial

I don’t install anything on my work computer that I can’t say 100% is used for work so I could never justify uBlock. It does make a HUGE difference. The web without it is a giant mess.

That’s a question for Broadcom. Those SoCs going upstream is always an issue and not because people don’t want them. It’s just a blob mess.
