Sometimes it means “someone who can bill $300 an hour” with no relation to actual ability. I was a “senior” three years out of college and I had no clue what in the world I was doing. Come to think of it after 20 years I kinda still feel th

I wonder if they simply banned alcohol advertising what the effect would be. That was a big thing for tobacco in the 90s. I still remember “joe cool” the camel on the back of my parents magazines.

A lot of commercial software uses mame under the covers (capcom classics for example). IANAL but if you bought that and were able to extract the roms from it that should be fully legal. Just don’t distribute it.

My guess is it’s easier in Europe. My guess is if you only work 29 hours you won’t get health insurance where in Europe you still would qualify. Many people (myself included) are the “health insurance breadwinner” with a wife and kids that

Check out dark.fail. Sure there are a TON of dark web markets but a lot of news sites and such. Tor sure is a bunch of botnets and hackers and such but there certainly are more “genuine” uses to that. The alternative is no anonymous intern

I feel like we are going to have to get a yearly booster and they will be guessing the strains every year just like the flu. Note: 100% a gut feeling

Any reason to not use wsl? I’m forced to either use windows/Mac at work and chose windows with wsl. Works reasonably well. I just live in WSL and use office (which is better than MAC office by a large margin)

Man, are they going to blow through their free tier lambdas real quick! /s S3 is nasty expensive for outbound bandwidth. I’m surprised the usps landing page is there. No reason that couldn’t have been on lambda as well.

Unrelated 486 story: I used a 486 66 dx2 as my computer until 2001 when I went to college and used my grad money for an actual computer. Get to school and they limit the internet to 1 gig per day. Discovered it’s by MAC address. Not by LAN
