Yeah I was actually thinking about a proper rig - My gut feel is a rig wouldnt be as expensve as a mac and would actually have a higher ROI (at the expense of portability)? My other worry about the mac is how unupgradable it is. Again not

Ok I really really have to figure out how to have a local setup of the open-source LLMs. I know i know - the "fixed costs" are high. But I have a strong feeling being able to setup local LLMs (and the rig for it) is the next bu

So youd be surprised and scared - the Ad PMs I know are totally salivating at this. Their angle is "SEO is no more - it is GEO now". GenAI Engine Optimization. Welcome to the Futurama Internet Future!

Forget sandboxing. I'd say review every command it puts out and avoid auto-accept. Right now given inference speeds running 2 or 3 parallel Claude sessions in parallel and still manually accept is still giving me a 10x productivity b

But what if you could re-solve all of today's problems (solutions) with GenAI. Ie if there was an app or game that you like and just want to clone it, that itself today is quite achievable (there was a game -weewar from about 20 years

Il be honest I loved AI-studio - it felt like almost unlimited quota. With CLI it is unbeleivablly slow even for simple tasks (compared to claude code) and the "free" seems to be a totally deceptive marketing. Even with an API k

I spent the last two months "vibe coding". I really think VC as it is defined (keep smashing the accept button and let the LLM eventually "get there") is terrible. My flow has been to use Claude code for an incredibl

This is amazing. I've been wanting to do this for ages (even tried a few times and failed a few times). Great to see this.

I would add one thing though. The pie definitely gets bigger - but i feel there is a period of "downsizing" that happens. I think this is becuase of lack of ideas. When you have tool that (say) 10xes your productivity, its no

So the thing is these anonymous surveys are just a way to "incriminate" managers. Most surveys are structure NOT to ask "Do you think Leader X is bad". It is more about "Do you understand what Leader/Org X is

This is kind of why I hardly use one shot/Agentic flows that the cursors are recomending you do (after all it gets them more control and lockin). I mostly know "how" I want something done so put fences to ensure what is gene

Ive been doing this exactly "manual" setup (actually after a while I jsut wrote a few browser drivers so it is much more snappier but I am getting ahead). I started with GPT which gave mediocre results, then switched to claude whi

This addiction and fear of things-going-bad-if-i-dont-listen-to-the-copilot is precisely why my workflow is a bit more simple and caveman-ish: 1. start a project with vague README (or take an existing one). 2. create makefile with the "

I'm the same boat. I came to Gemini after using curosr and Claude code. The latter are touted for their auto complete. But frankly the copy paste has not been the context-switch-nightmare I was worrying about. Best analogy I can t

Yeah right now I just dump entire files at it too. After 100-200k tokens I just restart. Not because the LLM is hallucinating (which it is not) but I like the feeling of treating each restart as a new feature checkpoint.

Damn that's interesting. How much of the code do you provide? I'm guessing when modularity is high you can give specific files.

Gaslighting engineers with "you don't know how to work with AI" is like telling Doctors - "you don't know how to look up WebMD" for not finding a cure for cancer!!
