Make the coin wobble instead of rotate when you flip it, looks like rotation but it isn't. Shiny coins work best.

Mathematical functions, easy formatting, and more anything a purpose. Basically it does thinga you don't want a spreadsheet to do. It's more akin to a mind mapper and there are easier to use tools for that.

I've worked with customers to setup support units specifically for Excel, helping their organisations develop and validate Excel spreadsheets and consider migration to more robust solutions when the time is right. As much as I dislike

Was minorly obsessed with this a couple of years ago. Is very interesting but ultimately lacks a lot that could make it useful

As an aside, I practiced false flipping a whole ago and got quite good at it, assuming I remember the initial state I can always know the end state

Fishbone had a minor push here in the UK but nothing compared to RHCP, they were pretty different IMHO so certainly in the UK and Europe there would have been room for both. They needed better management push.

Have done this role a couple of times. You need to make one person responsible for documentation and traceability, because collaborative editing in a wiki like tool without some editorial oversight and organisation leads to problems later o

What about mesh bags? Last time I went mushroom hunting in the wilds of a French wood, repleat with boar hides and beer bottle infested mini camp sites, my guide used mesh bags because he said that allowed spores to escape. The locals thoug

Can I commend the writing on this Web site? I know traditional encyclopedias have been over shadowed by Wikipedia, but the standard of writing and information density does not compare to what went before.

I've actually worked with and managed international teams for a number of major consultancy companies and outside of silicon valley I don't see much difference in skillsets and proficiency between the US, Europe and India.

Totally agree. I am of the generation that grew up without a car and life was pretty tough on public transport and it meant we couldn't do things like shop efficiently and price consciously because we had to think how we would carry ou

Depends who you work for. A solid LinkedIn plus the subscription option, with stints in the big 5 and some solution architect experience gets you some decent money.

To add, look at where you can add business process automation and self service and if or how that could optimise work throughput and reduce overheads. A lot of that has been commodotised in large enterprises but in smaller ones there may be

Not seen Floss Weekly mentioned thus far. Features some really amazing projects and the presenter somehow makes complex topics understandable. This and HN are the main sources of my tech knowledge.

Just from my pov, SQL does not support a document view of data and does not easily support versioning of same and this is a huge problem certainly in complex business systems.
