I've been working 4 years on Ubuntu Linux now and I'm very happy about it. My life is much easier and I don't loose time fighting with my system. I have a Win7 partition that I boot now and then when I must use software that

IP ADDRESS FOUND : 593.102.340 It always bugged me. Does anyone know why realisators spend so much energy into making faux computer interfaces in almost every movie/show ?

And your job is to be able to evaluate if next year's technology is worth a shot or not. To be able to take this decision seriously, you have to understand the big picture, which doesn't change fast.

If you want to visit the uncanny valley, I recommend to watch the Boston Dynamics part. [1] [1] https://youtu.be/OcFOWIq3cIc?t=1571

From what I understand: In flash you could only interpolate state between two key frames in a fixed level of freedom. Their method allows the level of freedom to vary between key frames. The video explains it visually.

Yes but when it comes to VR, you're litteraly looking at a screen centimeters away.

Not sure there is a perfect way to quantifiy that in DPI since its perception is function of the distance between the eye and the screen. Maybe an angular density metric would be more appropriate to calculate a limit ? [1] [1] http:/&

Looks like a nice tool to prototype for OpenCV. Question: What made you choose the classical QT gui over QML ?

It's important to note that there are 3 different regions (German, French and Italian) which all have their own 'sub-culture'. Behaviors can be quite different ;)

I think average wage is a bad metric. I can't find any source ATM but I think the median salary is around $75k.

Interesting. What is the circuit for ? Are you sure it's not powered by a standard watch battery ?

Rotor systems like in some automatic watches produce very little energy. Even at 100% efficiency it wouldn't be able to sustain an electronic circuit. Edit: I was wrong. See below.

I think it's not that simple. Companies like Nestlé do have to care about environment for alot of reasons. Thats basically why they hire people who have these skills. The lack of license re-evaluation resources is sad and tells alot ab

Nice hack ! WebGL decoding looks pretty effective. I think the major challenge with remote gaming is input latency. Even here on a local network, it looks like there is at least ~200ms between input and frame, wich is a blocker for many gam

Nature doesn't intend anything IMO. Everything is the result of nature (unless you consider humanity unnatural). Life spreads. It will eventually jump from planet to planets. Let's hope we're on the right ship.

I think it's important to note that Microsoft wasn't the platform of choice to act as a server - for most of the projects at least. Also, big corps who developed server-side OSS kept it for themselves.
