Agreed. He is so very adept at reducing a complicated system into simple relationships of cause and effect. No government is to be trusted not to manipulate the population through fear. That should be taught in grade school.

I guess the JVM is just too sophisticated for my taste. I think Mies van der Rohe, if he were a coder, would like Go for all the same reasons that Java programmers don't like it. Like I said, this is religion. If Java works for you,

I don't disagree. Tell me something: Suppose you go in to get your left kidney removed, but the doc removes the right one by accident. What are your options? Law suit? What would you expect to get in settlement?

I had a near miss with MS 8 years ago. Several MRIs, spinal taps, blood work, etc. Before insurance: about $25k. After insurance: $3k. Double hernia surgery was a couple grand out of pocket. Not all insurance is the same.$34k is robbery.

Wait time for an MRI can be months (at least that was the case back in 2008 when they compared Medicare/Medicaid to Canada's system).

So long as you're not poor, health care in the US is good. If you live in a major city and are diligent about who takes care of you, it is great. I've had three MRIs. All were scheduled the same day they were prescribed. I've

That would work. I've actually been thinking of setting up some sort of ubiquitous monitoring system (like a button camera that is nearly always running). Still on the drawing board... Google Glass might fit the bill, but they're

I've never had a problem getting Linux to work on a laptop. That includes Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, even HP EliteBook (pain in the ass, but running LMDE quite nicely with NVidia). Is the argument that those machines are bad because they s

No camera?! But how do you get arrested for taping a cop?! Serious note: I have the dumbest phone possible with a camera for purpose of emergency documentation. Think car accidents, property damage, lost kid, etc.

First off, let me state that I am not supporting this action. I do not view it as an effective means of protest. That said, I'm not sure I agree with your sentiment. I think one could argue in the bureaucracy, the staff are fair game.
