Wrap it in a module, then you can change it without any problems. It's not ideal, but it works very well in practice.

It's not the same and it's not represented as strings in Lisp, but I'm not going to commit further. You can read up on homoiconicity and Lisp on the internet, then you will see the difference.

Usually as long as I develop I have structs that I change inside a small module, then I can recompile just the module and access the new struct, e.g. for neural networks. It's not perfect but it's something.
