Well, XeLaTeX is what you want to use TTF/OTF while preserving TeX compatibility. It's very stable; I use it for my word processing. As I see it, there are three major issues with TeX: 1. It's very difficult to compose comman

Yea but cameras won't show them what you bought last week, your credit, your social network, your criminal records. Man the possibilities for fascism only get more and more exciting for future dictators.

I thought laptop batteries are also a bunch of phone batteries stuck together. Is that assumption incorrect? Edit: apparently so.... I would appreciate a reply if anyone has time. I have a difficult time figuring out what about my question

I'd rather have the choice myself—after all, it is incredibly unlikely your phone would actually catch fire.

Note, I think in spite of being in stage 3 the syntax and obvious cases seem to be largely unlikely to change. It certainly improves react quite a bit: you can define the proptypes and default values inside the class rather than after.

While it may be simpler, it also removes any safety that rust adds. I'd imagine you'd get more mileage out of just using pointers and unsafe blocks liberally to get lifetime checking where you can.

I'd call it a play on words, but it's not a pun—only a single meaning is possible here.

Right, even a ball to the head can cause CTE. It almost seems like playing with heavy padding, helmets, etc has caused more injuries by encouraging players to deal and take this small injuries.

Well, the ads going away is easily visible. I wouldn't stop blocking though; they most definitely continue to track.

I mean, is this so bad? It also implies novel communities are forming elsewhere; perhaps you're viewing this from a perspective on the past when the one on the future may be more relevant. I say this as someone who hates AirBnB and hig

Well it's a web of trust: typically people only trust their Gemfile, not their entire Gemfile.lock. If you audit the latter you should be fine (though of course you should upgrade regardless).

Well, non-type safety isn't really worth discussing. The big differentiators these days are: does it fail at compile time or run time? This is emphatically the latter category.

Frankly I don't see any long term benefits of a self-driving car company to the local community. If they're willing to invest that's one thing; otherwise, they jack up prices and force out locals. This is just gentrification
