Not to deep into this topic, but Sabine Hossenfelder, both providing a critical insight and depth+precision is also something to consider as an outsider to physics. See backreaction.blogspot.com. Hits my sweet spot between maths, physics an

I'd consider the 2nd and 3rd derivative of market share more important. As far as I'm observing the status quo, both the 2nd and 3rd are positive already :)

Covid19 is a new disease, noone is primed (by natural immunity) against it. It will be more deadly by nature since this is what nature is. I doubt our response is good. We must protect vulnerable people, and we have the means to. But

This is the (approximately) same graph for covid19 patients. If influenza was a "new" disease to the immune system of western people, it quite probably would be way more deadly. Original american natives would probably agree.

Influenza typically has a mortality of around 0.8%¹. There usually is a vaccine against the current strain of influenza, which usually hovers around 45%² efficacy (tops out at ~60%). With covid, we have a mortality rate of something between

Economy of scale is important, definitely. I'm just not so sure if the economy of scale favors energy storage (required for large-scale EVs) or ICEs right now, or in the forseeable future if we don't heavily invest in backup energ

It'd be wise to calculate for yourself. Existing and future green energy plants (solar/wind/water) won't be enough to charge 60% EV's in 10 years without nuclear or fossil backup, if all current oil-based traffic wa

Just stay away from robinhood. Use a serious broker. Even if you - privileged as you are - think you can deal with that. Others may not see as far, and be scammed.

Smelled like scam, is a scam. So glad I didn't fall into the robinhood trap, I was really close to. Edit: yes this comment isn't related to the linked article.

What happens if you wanted to sell de-listed stocks you have in your portfolio? Who's responsible for the potential loss incurred by not being able to sell? Is this part of the class action? (I can't open the document, there'
