I don't know if AI was used, but I do know that git contributions were used as a starting point. From what I've heard, it was just individuals and the managers that enabled it.

Very poor & mediocre. You can find secret little pockets within Microsoft where individuals & small teams do nothing at all, day in and day out. I mean literally nothing. The game is to maximize life and minimize work at the expense

There’s something wrong with your TV. You must have some kind of third party air play video device? AirPlay from the TV.app works fine. Just tried it, phone to TV and phone to laptop. You can either stream directly from the app or use scree

Did you know that if you have any Apple hardware, like anything at all with a screen, this is a 0-step process? You’re already signed into the device, and the AppleTV.app is pre-installed. It’s one tap. I have sympathy for you, that sounds

It’s messed up, but it can be fixed by turning off iMessage and MMS in settings.app and then turning it back on. It’s an old bug. Since it hasn’t been fixed, I’m guessing the solution introduces more problems than it a solves for whatever r

Apple made major contributions to USB-C and adopted it a decade ago in their MacBooks. They were committed to lightning for 10 years starting in 2012-ish, so usb-c was likely inevitable in iOS devices. However I would preferred a backwards

Even when HDR tone mapping in real time, such as a game engine or raw video feed, you would still be merging two or four multi-sampled tile memory blocks into a single output image. This is not fundamentally different, just a fancier pipel

I never mentioned a file format. These operations are performed on the raw buffer, there is no hack. There is no minimum bit depth for HDR (except for maybe 2) that’s just silly. High dynamic range images just remap the physical light waves

What are you talking about? You extract 3 exposure values from the raw camera buffer and merge and tone map them manually into a single HDR image. The final exported image format may not have the full supported color space, but that’s on yo

Trying to write a ground up game engine in Metal is a very serious exercise in self-discipline. Literally everything you need is right at your finger tips with RealityKit / old SceneKit. It’s so tempting to cheat or take a few short cu

Customer support costs are higher at Apple than its competitors, because they provide a better support experience. This is not a tautology, it’s one of their core value propositions

No there isn’t. I’ve said this a million times before, but usually just downvoted: this is about reducing support costs, not increasing revenue from lock-in. This is not a theory, I’ve sat in meetings at Cupertino and been told first hand.

Physics is not on your side. You need more energy to heat up a larger thermal mass. Dense layers closer to the bodies core reduces the total volume.

I couldn’t get past your first sentence. The person that promoting dense-first layers is probably the most influential and famous Alpinist ice/rock/mountain climbers to have ever lived. The man is known for doing his research.

Maybe they did? Who knows? Never gonna find out because no one had time to look into it. It certainly wasn’t done with malicious intent, perhaps by accident or oversight, which is likely the situation in most small companies.

It’s much more efficient to wear the densest layers closer to your body, because that’s less volume to keep warm. Most people wear wool, synthetic, or a down coat underneath the goretex. Try doing the opposite and see it how it works. Puffy

You can write directly to the frame buffer, like a video game. You still need the UIKit import to publish, because it has to be bundled into a .ipa which requires an AppDelegate, a UIBundle, among other things. If you want to “technically”
