I blew the top of a 555 once! I still remember peering into the whole in the top where I could still see bits of the die left. Most of it was gone! I never worked out what happened and my teacher couldn't shed any light on it either. F

You can configure readline (which is what bash uses) to use vi-bindings via $HOME/.inputrc then everything that uses readline (which is pretty much everything) will also get vi-bindings.

I use `man -k` (which is the same thing) all the time. It has a slightly different use case though.
