>Full disclosure; I'd like the iPad and it's ilk to die in a fire. Define ilk: all "tablets", all Apple products or all Apple touch-based gadgets. Because the iPad doesn't really have "an ilk" in my book.

I was surprised the javascript code ran so fast it could change the lighting in what seemed real-time to me. I didn't expect to see video scripting inside a browser.

I don't know any statistics but I would say that the number 1 problem here is Windows and the almost-mandatory need for an antivirus they are trying to enforce. So on one hand you have a widely-used but broken product (Windows) that needs a

I have doubts that the guy would manage to single-handedly publish any piece of legislation. So while there is some economical talk, it's actually more towards a political fund gathering talk.

I'm thinking about giving this a try too. What I would suggest is to get a desktop for this. Otherwise there will always be a blurry line if the laptop is always at hand when you are home.

Strangely I've started off computer usage by having a fear of breaking hardware and no fear of breaking software. I assume this is because I've always though I can "undo" software changes, but hardware was expensive and you couldn't "undo"

Still waiting for a proper AdBlock on Chrome/Mac (ie. one that doesn't just hide the ads) and I'll switch. "GWT developer plugin" for Chrome/Mac would also be nice although it's not that essential.

I would have also liked to see a fallback on soft rendering in that demo app (and the FPS number). But it would have most likely crashed the system if they would have started the app while the GPU was removed physically.
