Being hard to work with may have been one of Jobs' defining qualities. The author seems to be making the point that his strengths outweighed his many shortcomings.

The benefit is precedent. Apple shows that they will do everything they can to enforce their patents, and Samsung shows that they will fight back. Both companies thus lower the chance that someone else will do the same thing.

I am genuinely surprised that that combination is affordable in Berlin. Not like that is a small city or anything. How can you possibly find that much space at an affordable price?

Armies of lawyers I guess. Don't need soldiers if someone else is doing the enforcing.

Literally praying that they fix this crap in the next update. My mbp is getting on in years, and if they don't do something I'm going to move to linux for my next machine.

I used to use DI water back when I had access to it. Though, come to think of it, all the gunk probably re-ionized it.

Pulled pork is too time consuming to do properly for pretty much everybody. And with a couple of tricks to add texture and smoke you can create a very close copy with very little effort.

Pressure cooker + liquid smoke. 9/10ths as good. Disclaimer: I say this as a firm believer in the power of charcoal.

Dammit, yet another weirdo ruining marijuana's carefully cultivated slacker image. ;) I have a friend who reacts to marijuana similarly to what you describe and it still boggles my mind that two people can take the same drug and react

In my stuff we never did a two hour reboot, but we did do a daily one. Sometimes you just run into memory leaks some of which aren't even your fault.

Do they still enforce that? When I was working with Pi's a few years back I never had any trouble getting 5 or 6 at a time.

Meh. That is true if you are selling thousands or more of an item, but for small companies, custom boards can be a nightmare. I worked for a company once that put literally two full weeks of debugging into a problem caused by a flaky diode

I can't really judge how much insight can be gained from this article. It's a little short on details, and reads as much like a press release as a piece of journalism. That said, damn are those some incredibly cool pictures. Serio

Hang on though. Lets not conflate China the country, with Chinese the inhabitants. I can be highly suspicious of China and Russia the countries without feeling any animosity towards the people who are from there.

Sure, find a maxed out 15" model. It'll do pretty much whatever you need it too. Mine (purchased new) still blows a lot of stuff out of the water as far as baseline day to day performance. Mpbs were, and still are, very popular de

Linux can be an absolute bastard where drivers are concerned, but Windows actively fights you when you try to modify the drivers. Windows is more likely to work correctly out of the box, but if it doesn't it is a bigger pain in the ass

Don't assume forums are somehow freer of group-think because they are less accessible. Once they get established, the existing user base tends to push out anyone that doesn't agree with their views. Some subreddits are awesome, an

I'm not a fan of having house cats. Indoor only cats develop weird psychological issues at a rate that makes me suspect that living inside isn't all that healthy for them. Every cat I have owned has been an indoor-outdoor cat. The
