Yeah ... I still occasionally get a (analog) mail in Japanese informing me that the bankruptcy procedure is still ongoing. Luckily it was "just" 1 BTC.

Somewhat related: What has blown my mind at some point is that with dependent types you can actually check your algorithms for correctness. --- Example: http://goto.ucsd.edu:8090/index.html#?demo=Order.hs Press Check ->

I am full pro-Haskell, have used GADTs to define ASTs before and just love length-indexed everything (i.e. nd-matrices) ... but reading your comment I guess somebody who never came in contact with "modern languages" has no idea wh

Is that "bass guitar string" thing common? I had it twice, both times in a hot and cramped train and shrugged it up to "heat stroke".

I guess you can "tune" the tower by adjusting a weight in the tower ... but I agree on the area issue.

Second this ... I've been commuting for about 84 km each way each day for five years ... in Germany with the regional trains that took me about 1.5h (and only 40 minutes of that were actual train ride). In that time I would start to wo

Kind of related: one of the dating platforms in Germany advertises with "every 10 minutes a single falls in love on XYZ" ... 1 year / 10 minutes = 52560 ... that's a pretty bad success rate for a platform that supposedly

Dumb question ... but isn't the easiest AA method rendering at a higher resolution and downsampling the result? I see that it's not feasible for a lot of complex 3D graphics, but 2D is (probably) a lot less taxing for modern GPUs?
