This pain point is one of the reasons I do not buy pants or shoes online. This is amazing execution of the idea, and I hope they get bought out for the millions they deserve! Or, if they'd prefer to grow it organically, that too!

Well, to walk through some numbers.. Assume an eCPM of $8 (I think that is good performance, but still a "safe" number to work from). For perspective, I write about personal finance and tend to get a few more dollars than that. Work backwar

I actually haven't snuck into an extra movie. But, to be fair, I have downloaded movies and music. I just grew up and don't find the need to do that anymore. With services like Pandora and Slacker Radio, and a ton of pay per song models, I

I would second this whole-heartedly. If you track time, you will find that some clients will question every single second. "So you spent x minutes finding stock images?! That means I paid you $x just to look?!" Just set KPI goals that you'd

I'll go along with bad_user's example of Avatar. From Wiki: "Avatar was officially budgeted at $237 million.[3] Other estimates put the cost between $280 million and $310 million for production and at $150 million for promotion." So, I'd ha

Thanks for covering that. When people abuse statistics it makes my head hurt. Would it really have been that hard for them to spell it out, as the original article did, in three distinct categories? It speaks to the fact that the answers to

It seems that from the start you've had an ingrained sense of hustle. I actually laughed at your anecdote about selling sporting goods. When I was in high school I sold electronics at Best Buy. We would have reps come in and tell us about t

This is the exact question I was going to ask. I've always used Pingdom and YSlow. I would consider spelling out the differences so users know what your USP is.
