Instagram can censor content on Instagram. Apple can censor content on the App Store. They should not do anything inside the apps on App Store.

You can run an adblocker in the instagram app. It's just a bit too much. You need to have a rooted android. I did it when they increased the ads to one ad every 2-3 posts.

Because Google calculates clicks as results, people are encouraged to click the ads, meaning news sites earn more money if clicks increase, and the advertiser has to pay more money to Google if clicks increase.

Okay. > The best way to use the tool is to have it click between rarely and sometimes What you don't realize is most of the users are dumb and set it to maximum click through rate, because they think it is some form of achievement.

Okay, use it yourself. But do not encourage others to use it. It is adfraud and most people set it to full click through rate.

I pretty sure they don't give a fuck about user opinion. 6 months later, this will be the default. But don't worry, there will be a chrome://flag hidden somewhere for the most vocal complainants. Google AMP is still goin

That is a stupid idea and will get your accounts and IP banned from Google and Cloudflare. Use it yourself if you want, do not encourage others to use it. It is based off uBlock Origin. Just use uBlock Origin.

Why? It'll never be exhaustive. Names are infinite. I'd rather waste my time on HN :)

As many adblockers as possible is a very bad idea. They interfere with each other. Half of the issues on r/ublockorigin are cause by people using adblock plus with it. Use only uBlock Origin.

Read the article. The case was bad for Google because their lawyer was bad. The case would be bad for software everywhere, because API copyright. (in future) You're mixing both and asking why it would be bad for Google

DDG privacy essentials is domain based blocking. I recommend uBlock Origin. Remove everything else.

Adblock Plus itself has trackers in it. They also accept money to whitelist every major ad company and trackers meaning you gain nothing privacy wise and just waste CPU resources. uBlock Origin is many times better (and faster)

Calling it exhaustive is a bit much. It doesn't have many names of my friends. Here in India you get very long/sometimes weird lastnames. Many are not there on the list.
