Solar and wind alone can’t provide 100%. Not yet anyway.. > Successfully Yet the amount of energy generated by burning coal has only increased. * https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Economic-Sectors-Enterpris...

Is it that more expensive if you take into account all the externalities from burning coal? Increased cancer risk due to high radiation, other pollution etc. CO2 is just the cherry on top.. > That would imply that Germany should be criti

Grids in Europe are interconnected. So you can build nuclear and and import wind/solar from the surrounding countries which would effectively be the same.

All kind of idiot (objectively) environmentalists were fighting against nuclear for decades in Germany and other countries. They weren’t the only factor but nuclear was already effectively dead by 2011 in Germany.

You can build both nuclear and solar and wind at the same time. Poland will stick to coal because of local economic interests, it has nothing to do with nuclear. > They were not, there is even less coal used since nuclear plants were shu

Eurowings certainly doesn’t.. But yeah generally that seems to be the case. Ryanair for inspection is one of the largest airlines in the world but it never had any fatal accidents.

I refuse to believe that the people who made some of the best ancient statues had an artistic sense of a 5-year old when it came to color... Obviously ancient status were colored but probably in a much nicer way. No way something like: htt

The iPhone had some very clear and straightforward use case which were appealing to some extent to every person who had a phone and used internet. To me VR seems closer to where PCs were in the 80s at this point.

It’s not like there was anything that similar to the first iPhone. But yeah it was arguably closer to a tech demo and a toy than a real device. Apple and Jobs himself weren’t even exactly sure which way they wanted to go with it.
