Ok, I feel seen. I had trouble with TouchID on the 5S, upgraded to a 6S, and a 7 and continued to have trouble. It never reliably worked for me. I partially blamed it on oily hands, but my fingertips are fairly scarred as well. As soon as F

How is the removal of a fingerprint sensor a step back in usability? The facial unlock is less intrusive and requires the user to do less to interface securely (minus any privacy concerns) with the phone.

2 years ago this week, I was laid off by HPE. It was my first job out of college. I was employed there for almost 2 years. I didn't particularly like the work or the environment, but I wanted to pad out my resume. When I got the news,

Better, more accurate maps are a good incentive to keep people using their platform. It's an incentive to continue using iOS, as now even better maps are built it! (This is my quick off the top logical explanation.)

I feel like the best compromise would be to utilize the new, larger camera bump to add a slightly larger image sensor, even just 25-50% larger than the current sensors. I feel like it would make a noticeable improvement to the image quality

Halide on iOS is one of the best ways to shot in manual mode on your iPhone. You get full control, a histogram, and even manual focusing options. It's a pretty amazing app and totally worth the one time purchase price.
