The audience of hacker news can understand and appreciate the work behind this tetris clone. Yes, it's a clone and there're millions, but this one is very well made and can work very much as an example of the technology being show

By far. I use lambda as a public API for my sites. One site has 4000req / h (at peeks. Not much, but it's an api after all) and I only pay some cents.

It does, but not as you would expect. Last time I tried with an ATI, I had random freezes. But it was a year ago. There were lots of improvements since then.

Great article, lots of tools I didn't know of. Can you provide more info about where I can get that 2g chip outside the states? Sounds very useful to use a service like that. Also, can you expand a little bit more about the slack inte

Could you provide some link to read about this? First time I've heard about it.

Even without an Ego it is still impressive. Just imagine the steps that led to transmit these traits. How did the first ones know that by planting a seed a plant would grow? How did they know that by adding soil it would help to the growth

Slightly off topic, but what I found terrible hard to look up on the specs lists for android phones is support for USB OTG. Some companies disable it, some enable it, and some switch between enabled and disabled between different sub models

GNU social didn't fail. It still has a growing community. Check out mastodon.social to see a newborn server (with it's own implementation of everything, in Ruby) for example. It was featured here some weeks ago.

The phrasing is a bit harsh, but the example is a nice one. It's easy to forget how complex living creatures are.

An easier approach IMO would be to create an amazon lambda script to process the pdf and make it run when you upload a file to a bucket in amazon s3. It's easy to do and you don't need to mess with anything more than two simple AP
