Yes, put property prices have shot up PRECISELY BECAUSE INTEREST RATES ARE SO LOW. When interest rates and inflation are low- asset prices such as property go up. High(ish) inflation/interest is a really good thing for workers because

Interesting to note that usage and income peaked in late 2017, yet earnings per share continues to rise unabated. When there is too much shareholder pressure to extract money from struggling companies, those companies tend to struggle.

One thing I really dont like about Witcher 3 is that you hear the voice of "yourself", and that voice sounds like a WWE wrestler. I never thought about it before, but I now realise how important it is for immersion to let the play

Nope and nope. A guild of taxi drivers prevents a "race to the bottom", which does, in fact lead to the benefits I describe. Its not an issue of "fair" wages (although I did use that word), its an issue of _good_ wages.

There are many good reasons to licence taxi(driver)s, and cap their number. For example: - to keep traffic down - to ensure a minimum standard of vehicle - to ensure safe, well-trained and responsible taxi drivers. - to ensure a fair level

Often when I see a developer that I look up to actually work, they are on Emacs. Its definitely a small user base, but an influential one. I think if you were to limit the survey to readers of Hacker News, the proportion of Emacs users woul

It sounds entirely reasonable. One way of reading the popularity of Agile is simply that it is a vehicle for non-creators to get their head around dealing with todo lists, testing, documentation and releases. Github is great at all of that.

To be fair, testing is to some extent an unsolved problem. The joys of testing were being extolled long before test frameworks were actually usable. Now that they are, and you can glue Travis, GitHub and the test lib of your choice together
