Not really. They're talking Raspberry PI type devices based on RISC-V on the market by late 2017. Source: MeetBSDCon 2016, update on RISC-V by the team who designed it.

You can literally do version control in the database as well. Upgrade and downgrade your entire scheme at will. Unfortunately the only open source software I'm aware of that does this is Archiveopteryx http://archiveopteryx.

You can't have a mixed group chat between iMessage and SMS. If one person leaves the iMessage ecosystem there's no way to update the group chat to include you. This is like saying "I was in an IRC channel with friends but I l

I think your definition of open source is much different than mine. Requiring cooperation or interaction with the community is very GNU / GPL mindset, not BSD. Many of us are perfectly OK with code drops.

pfsense has a strong team behind it as well as some FreeBSD committers/networking experts. Everything is fine.

This has nothing to do with their desire to use open source. In fact, it's blatantly against their goals.

It doesn't stop the flow of money, just requires that it's more fairly distributed throughout the party.

Didn't they announce they weren't going to add the v12 features back because the number of power users were so few? I swear there was a blog post about this a couple years ago. edit: as for Quihoo 360: they may not be all bad. The

Sure, and things like the auto industry are increasingly becoming automated with robotics. So yes, we can manufacture things. We just can't pay people to do it. Not if we want to afford these nice shiny new things.

It will be the next thing to get automated. Wake up people, the United States is a post-industrial society. We cannot manufacture things and pay people living wages to do it. We want things cheap and we want them now. Sorry. I'd rath

My manager did his thesis on this. Endace NICs, split traffic up and send to a cluster of IDS servers. Allows you to actually do line rate analysis. No need for FPGA/ASIC.
