My oldest daughter will turn 8 this year. These days I'm planning which would be best computer/software/OS for her (if any), but nothing in the market fits my requirements as a father. There is so much noise, distraction and

Hah! I have the same experience. When my children manage to sleep I'm too tired to do anything, so I program and think in computer problems as I fall asleep. I have to get up very early to work, so I don't have the chance to put t

Nice. One side project I'm thinking of is to build a simplified msdos environment for the Raspberry, with basic shell commands like cd, dir, md, etc and a set of basic programs inside the same environment to do productivity/office

I love the concept, it’s very appealing. However, I can’t stop thinking that this is mostly aimed to a post apocalyptic scenario, and if that is the case, computers would be the least thing to worry about :(

Playing with constraints is always fun, and Pico8 makes it even funnier! Here are my experiments and games from a couple of years ago: https://diegofg.com/projects/pico8/

Everytime I passed this appliances store which had this small computer exhibited, I had to stop and stare thought the window for minutes to watch the flying toasters thingie. I was mesmerized. My 486 was nice, but that was sooo cool.. so hi

This is great, amazing idea! However, I don't understand why you chose don quixote. That's not modern, normal, everyday prose, it was written 400 years ago.. any spanish kid would have trouble understanding it. Any other modern (

Best example of this algorithm is Frou Frou’s “the dumbing down of love” music video, from back in 2002! Crap quality: https://youtu.be/N4IhGlNTJEg I’ve always puzzled of how they morphed the shapes...

Hi! I just wanted to say that the sub-asset loading feature is really neat! Beautiful way to handle that use case. One question: if you load two sub-assets from the same gltf, is the gltf cached or loaded twice?

This is great! Good idea, very useful. I love figma, it's one of those cases that showcase the actual potential of the web, and that performs equally or better than native alternatives. And the API is really easy to pick up. Figma boom

I guess there are levels. Computer engineering is a proper science, much much more deep and broad than mocking up a web page. And people study the science for years, the same as civil or aerospace engineers do, and get a label for that, cal

Computer engineering is a science that shares common habilites and tasks with those your grandfather had. Maybe a website is more similar to build a garage than a bridge. And maybe building an operative system is like building a skyscraper.
