I thought this as well, until looking for info one day and stumbling onto this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/386294/what-is-the-maximu... Turns out the 320 value was actually incorrect, its 256 but the mailbox is wrapped in square b

That's exactly what you should do. ^(.+)@(.+)$ max length is 254 according to the RFC I believe, so you can check for that too.

I just used that as an example from the article. Honestly I think the idea of timeboxing may be useful if a person can't keep on track, but I don't have an issue with getting stuff done on time. One of the arguments from the article was tha

The only thing that I have grown to despise a bit is timeboxing. Coding is a job and a hobby to me, and sometimes setting those hard limits kills my ability to improve code by forcing me into a rigid schedule. It turns what I view as play i

I'm a developer at a state university: Free Tuition. I feel guilty about not up and doing it already, but I'm only 1 year out of college, and don't want to go back to that grind just yet. I really have no excuse aside from "I don't wanna" r

Well of course! PhD's are in the unfortunate position to be overqualified for 90% of the positions they would apply to, and too much of an education to leverage for a higher salary. Industry experience is what makes the R&D rooms at Big

I used to do desktop support for a University, in which my daily job was reclaiming and sifting through hordes of gx270's and gx260's to find working mobos. I swear they made the cases on those things out of razor blades. I probably could h

I deleted, not deactivated, my account about 2 years ago; it's far more liberating than scary. Of course, I still have an fb account for running ads and using the api's, but neither my name nor personal email is tied to it at all.

The difference here is that all of your examples do not leave me directly responsible for other peoples lives. I'm talking about awareness of an object with which you can end someones life with a mistake/ poor upkeep, and be 100% directly r

I didn't even realize there was an issue until you actually said something about the console not producing output. Honestly I had never noticed that pane on jsfiddle. Pop open inspector or firebug for console output, seems to work there.

I personally believe that the importance lies in awareness more than anything else. I generally don't run the radio in my car (even though its a piddly 1.8t GTI) because listening to the engine is important. There are all sorts of audible c
