Oh gotcha. Yes, agree. In general a rest system will be faster than GraphQL. The GraphQL abstraction layer decrease the response time. Another point against GraphQL is if the object design has much resolver fetching database style, it will

What I meant is that you probably would use the same SQL script to fetch from your database the data. GraphQL is not responsible for talk to your database. If you have a SQL database, you must specify the SQL script to fetch the data as wel

I believe that article is referring when you need to fetch the data in differents places. Of course in your design, a single SQL query to you database would resolve it, probably you would use the same query for a Graphql resolve. But when a

The Cold Start of AWS lambda is better now. You can get under 1000ms. However, Google Function needs to improve the Cold start.

I am getting a different price from GCP calculator. Almost $2000. In your example, 10functions por Second, so each function is taking 1000ms to finish. 2592000s in a month * 10invocation = 25920000 invocations month, running with a 1GB fun

It is not connected to a remote terminal in the normal way. It is just a design terminal, where your input is send to a lambda running NodeJS that runs your command using a childProcess.execSync(command). So each command typed is a lambda

Hey, thanks for listening. I believe in short time would be nice to have a way to use for the query the create, update and write time of a document. Now, I am doing the creat time manage inside of my document with Date.now(), but when I was

The link posted is talking about the Firestore and not the Real Time. Firestore is in beta state that has a beta limit of 100k sim. connections, probably off beta it will be able to handle more connections. The Real Time has 100K limit and

No, you don't need Apollo or Relay to make the GraphQL work. The query of a GraphQL system is a string that represent the value of a GraphQL script. You can send this string using any protocol that you want, usually is by http with t

Do you have some solution for http triggers? Like your own gateway? Because I found the AWS Gateway expensive to trigger Lambda by http events.

I rarely use promises. Just for the most simplest logics. When a package return promises in its API, I just use Rx.Observable.fromPromise(theRomise) . ReactiveX, especially RxJS, is so powerful to handle async events, from differents source

I don't know what techs you are using, but I would suggest you looking for: * Google Spanner (relational) or Datastore (no SQL with ACID) * NodeJS app running in some instance as gateway with Google Functions, or just Google Functions.
