We already have a defacto one party system in the US

I feel this in my bones. Not only that but discoverability is terrible partially due to all the dead ends you can go down when looking for some library or solution, only to find out they don't work anymore.

To me that sounds like "you need insight into a field to have good hunches"

That's only perception of continuity. I'm specifically speaking about physical continuity. Continuity of our physical system which has constant internal communication, this internal network dialog does not stop even when under a

That's because we aren't building systems capable of self-analysis and awareness. As far as I'm aware, there are only AI/ML systems capable of analyzing some data and giving some output with little to no nuance

I'm glad you brought this up! Every time the subject of transfer of consciousness comes up this is a drum I beat endlessly. We need physical continuity for any sort of meaningful transfer to happen. I think that it actually could work

My assumption is that it could be multifactorial, societal and family integration along with diet and who knows what else. Life is stupidly complex

"Key metrics" No idea what that means, article is paywalled. Color me skeptical that it could be meaningfully relevant in treatment of psychological disorders

Body modification is not self mutilation, although I would tend to agree that the lack of functionality is probably not transhumanist

I find it rather funny that we know about the parallel construction which they attempt to keep hidden, yet don't know about any successful preventions. I would assume they would at least want people to know if a program was a success.

I'll also add Which have not prevented anything and instead are used in parallel construction to go after Americans

Why would it be any different elsewhere? Plants generally work the same no matter which country you're in.

I think that's a reasonable view to have. It doesn't take up a lot of space while allowing for natural ecosystems to exist alongside human single family residences. Another idea could be to increase density of human housing while

That's interesting, I wasn't aware they get injected separately. While this would decrease VOC emission greatly, I can still see these engine designs being higher emission than a comparable four stroke although I may be wrong. I&#

Rebelliousness is a concept about lining up with societal expectations. Perhaps some of us do our best creative work outside of those expectations. Why should we suppress that?

Why is keeping land clear important? That's an ecosystem where numerous organisms live, its not like it's "unused" See my other comment about bugs. Almost any option is better than a wasteful grass lawn

Frankly, that is quite improbable. Unless you can work over time to replace the brain piecewise so it integrates with non biological parts, transfer of consciousness is not happening

Why are bugs a bad thing? From a human perspective I can understand the dislike of things like mosquitoes, but we seem to enjoy decimating ecosystems purely for our own benefit.

I'm willing to bet that computer controlled fuel injection wouldn't solve the issue. It may lower emissions slightly but two strokes still require lubricant to be mixed with the fuel, I'd bet my hat that's where the high

How about banning grass lawns instead? They're incredibly wasteful. We could be using land to grow food or do other useful things

The same is true about policing and ticketing/fines. I know this is a bit of a tangent, but people who are already on hard times are the ones getting policed and fined the hardest and they're the ones that fines and penalties ha
