If you're on Mountain Lion, Gatekeeper won't open the launcher, complaining it isn't signed. The best way around this without touching your security settings is to right-click the launcher and selecting "Open".

On Firefox, I use the RequestPolicy plugin: by default, it only allows requests to the current domain, so nytimes.com can't access connect.facebook.com. You can enable requests to go through, so that reddit.com can access redditstatic.com.

IntelliJ IDEA has this feature for years now. (Command-Shift-A) It shows a list of all commands and you can fuzzy-find through them. It is very useful and often faster than digging through the menus to find the right command. It also shows
