I am not trying to defend Teams, I hate it. But Cmd+Shift+M does that on Teams on macOS.

I see a lot of praise for Metformin on the comments here. I did a quick search and it seems that the only long term side effect listed is B12 deficiency. I also saw a comment talking about lactic acidosis in the liver. Are there any other k

They do. I am on a last gen M1 Pro MacBook 16" using a 240Hz display but it's capped at 120Hz.

https://github.com/fcoury/oxide even though not 100% there yet, got tired of telling customers they needed a MongoDB instance just for my apps :-)

Oh my! I came to the comment section to ask about a Mac app that I've seen a long time ago that did this. Lo and behold, you, the author, have written the first comment. :-) Thank you for Shortcat, I used it a long time ago and loved i

I have been using Orion [1] almost exclusively for the past 2-3 months with almost zero issues. Also switched to kagi as my search engine with similar success. I just love the idea behind them and want to support a Google alternative. — [1]

Thank you! It's exactly that: basically you don't need to keep an additional MongoDB instance if you already use and maintain a Postgres server somewhere. I translate the JSON-based query interface into the corresponding SQL state

Interesting. I have written a translation layer for the MongoDB wire protocol [0] that persists to PostgreSQL. I am wondering if I could make this layer also compile to wasm and run in the browser. --- [0] http://oxidedb.com

Haven't heard of Visidata before. Just downloaded and it blew my mind. A less useful tool particularly for CSV is the CSV Rainbow plugin on VSCode, which was my previous favorite.

Wow, thank you so much for explaining the overhead around FUSE usage, that’s really eye opening and makes having some performance benchmarks down the line even more interesting.

Came here to post about Kagi, have been using them almost exclusively accross all my devices, alongside the Orion browser. Happy customer and zero affiliation as well.

Indeed. It's like we are always reinventing the wheel on a very cyclic manner. We go round and round to come back to the same abstractions. I had to Google the quote, but it goes like "those who don't learn from the past are

That is amazing to hear, I would love to get back to those years through some existing software. The thing I most remember about Clipper 5 is that it had CodeBlocks that resemble today’s closures in most languages. Do you remember that? :)

That’s pretty funny as well! Made me remember when my friend’s father got this spanking new PC XT and I was super excited to play with it, since I only had an MSX computer back home. I started playing with all sorts of different commands an

Congrats on the launch! I think it might be interesting to provide some examples without the need to upload a schema, since I assume most people playing with it won't have one ready right off the bat.
