Yeah, I had a job once that had every Friday between memorial day and labor day off. It was awesome! If the pay would have been competitive I would have stayed forever.

You should schedule a "create or replace table" statement every N hours/days/etc. It will be effectively just the same as a scheduled materialized view refresh.

We use Kafdrop for viewing topics/messages/info and it's really nice. It's read-only though, so if you need to configure a topic or push a message you have to use something else. https://github.com/HomeAd

They were installed and mounted to the desk in such a way that it would have been a nontrivial task getting them home. I'm at a large company and they didn't want us going home with them unfortunately.
