Better Off Ted and Firefly (as some-one mentioned underneath) are perfect examples of shows that would thrive under Netflix. They have such huge appeal to the tech savvy audience who are most likely to adopt Netflix. It wouldn't surprise me

The only point to rewriting is to extend the project. You can't always predict if new features will be wanted. So unless you want to have to wait on a rewrite for each new feature you will need a rewrite. Rewriting all your code because you

To further clarify. Imagine, for the sake of a nice example, that MS owned the patent to pinch-to-zoom. Google incorporate pinch-to-zoom in android but don't actually sell any product featuring pinch-to-zoom so aren't actually infringing on
