Sorry, we’re way past the point where screaming “fake news” excempts you from providing arguments.

Wow. I can’t recall the last time I got this emotional from watching something on TV. Good thing my wife is asleep, cause I’m tear-eyed over two rockets touching down at the same time...

The local market here in Sweden is super-hot so I can pick and choose. Usually, I go through a broker who takes 10% of everything I invoice but does all the selling for me.

For the most of my career, I was certain that there was something wrong with me. After the first few months at a new job, a sense of meaninglessness grew in me. Is this it? Am I really babysitting this ASP.Net app from here on out? I tried

This thread has inspired me to un-clutter my mind. The first step I took was to stop taking the phone with me to the bathroom. It may sound preposterous, but I genuinely had a feeling of fright over missing something. Next step is separatin

Funny thing about inifi-scrolling is that it's designed to save bandwidth, but I'd wager that most of the time the extra JS packages are bigger than the content actually being "saved"

I’m always caught of guard when the left-right scale is brought up in the context of American politics. Is so far skewed to the right that “the left” corresponds to “moderate-far right wing” in EU terms.

Maybe a Markov Chain wrote it?

If you show up drunk or with anger management problems, the company is by law required to provide you with professional help. If that doesn't work, they can fire you and your benefits kick in from day 1.

If you quit, as opposed to being fired, you have to wait three months before being able to apply. You have to prove applying for jobs as well.

It's true that power here is cheap (~0.1€ per kWh). However, since most electric companies buy back what you overproduce you can get an installation that covers your whole years supply and have it paid of in 7-10 years.

A common misconception. Even in northern Sweden, which is above the arctic circle, you can still generate ~80% of the energy that Southern Europe generates.

None of the points he makes are invalid per se, but the language and tone of the piece makes him come across as whiny at best, spoiled and entitled at worst.

If you want to build a new house in Sweden you need to present an energy calculation for the house so that you meet the fairly strict requirements. Of the top of my head, a normal family house (150m2, 1-1/2 stories) is allowed to consu
