Especially since many of the tools in Photoshop have been backed by machine learning for many years now.

Because there are magic strings that work considerably better than what you might come up with. Like “think step by step.”

There is too much information flowing between humans right now. AI can help filter it.

This is my favorite part about LLM’s and image generators: they are the ultimate rapid prototyping tool. I really benefited from making it a habit to use them a lot for coding and anything else, as I started learning what works and what doe

COM works well, it’s still heavily used on Windows. The Windows Runtime API’s are just COM! It lets C++\C#\JavaScript\Rust all talk to each other in the same app. I just think it’s funny since it was so heavily derided by people. It took aw

I agree, I like the simplicity of it essentially being a big iPhone. I don’t want it to be like a Mac or do Mac stuff on it.

Yup. SwiftUI does it right. One language for your whole app.

Yup. I would much prefer if every ML model had a simple C inference API that could be called directly from pretty much any language on any platform, without a mess of dependencies and environment setup.

Photoshop Beta does it best. The generative features are just new tools that work as you’d expect with all the existing tools. For example, if you want to do outpainting, just make your canvas bigger and you get a contextual menu where you

I liked my Quest 2 a lot for about two weeks until the novelty totally wore off. I just don’t want immersive gaming experiences. My Switch satisfies my occasional gaming itch, and is easy to just pick up and play for 15 minutes without taki

The reason is not the language itself but what it lets you do. E.g., if you want to use Unreal Engine or write an audio plugin, learn C++ for that. If you want to mess around with machine learning, learn enough Python for it. Id you want to
