I'm very intrigued! Have you contacted any local MP's to pilot the app? I'm curious how open they are to innovation in the space. You have picked a great market to build products for. Congrats! $$$

Then IMO you're in the small percentage of people who are motivated enough, talented enough and have the discipline to go and get what they want. Most people need to be taught that.

There still is a stigma for putting university on hold or dropping out. Trust me there is. All you guys (Arrington included) in the valley are in a bubble, which is fine, because it works there but the rest of society doesn't feel the same

The biggest mistake in that re-design is assuming Helvetica Nue and Arial are good design choices. They are crunched together. Both are harder to read compared to the current Verdana title and body text. For a minimalist site like HN, Verda

I find it absurd that the author has written an entire life and career analysis for Patrick based on this single sentence: “I have not enjoyed getting teachers who make $60k explain to me why I need to subsidize them (haven’t hit $60k

Cabin has wheels under it. I think in an ideal environment, for example a runway, he could have created lift by just flapping the wings with enough speed over a certain period of time.

Not really. I can see the top bar maybe throwing you off.. but everything else is made different, for totally different purposes. I think twitter is trying to bring the iPad experience to the web. there's similarity there.
