I am on board (badum-psh!) with diffuse causality for massive and complex systems like "retail-level" (or consumer-level) import/export trade, but your point would be more persuasive with a trailhead of links demonstrating to

I realize it's not very hip to be proud of the things we have accomplished in the United States, but that doesn't make them untrue or any less significant.

And here we have arrived at the crux of the problem. Should we just throw up our hands and say "Then just don't use American tech"? I think this move by Uganda (and your comment) illustrate the same frustration that we in Ame

I think it is the case, and what we're seeing online is chaff and noise and not reflective of what most American adults believe. Maybe it's Russian bots or whatever. Or children from Reddit. Or Europeans trying to dictate what the

I agree with you on the surface, but in reading your comment, I'm reminded of feeling exactly the same way after Trump was elected, just in the opposite sense. And thinking about it, this was the same sense I had about things after Oba

I think you're right, that this is actually a simple calculus about power and money (as it always has been and always will be). It's really the thing that grinds my gears when I forget myself: The duplicity and virtue signaling. T
