Can you ELI5 what formal methods are and how not the industry standard apparently? As a complete noob, from what I'm reading online, they're pretty much how you should approach software engineering, or really any sort of programmi

Give back to others who are in your position as you were when young. I always go through every cold contact email or message from any university student who messages me out of the blue, simply because a McKinsey Senior Managing Partner took

It's funny how the father of communism was basically an intellectual who leeched off of his wealthier capitalist relatives (the family behind Philips NV).

What I've learnt is that it's for businesses to productize SME solutions unless they're dirt cheap or free, but getting hired as a consultant (who actually adds value) is always an option. It need not be done for compensation

As someone not in the US, I do a straight nope out whenever I see a Persona request. I advise everyone else to do the same. Afaik, it's used by LinkedIn and Doordash too.

Protestant Scandinavia and Calvinist Netherlands and Switzerland never really consider(ed) Manifest Destiny nor Capitalism as religions. And both regions are becoming increasingly atheist.

Tbf this entire administration is a circus full of entertainers from the top down. It's like these guys are taking notes from a Mexican soap opera, ironically.

Exactly. At what seems to be 30 USD a year, that's laughably low for most users. I'm actually impressed on the kids for finding a niche snake oil market and selling it to them.

Locally hosting models. For one, bringing down costs for local usage. Open AI could then charge prices regionally for their APIs, at a discount even - further incentivizing more companies to set up in the country. There's already been

The UAE already host AWS and Azure datacenters. G42, the semi governmental company which Open AI has tied up with, has a shit ton of imported expertise in the space. They have even developed their own LLM.

I'm pretty sure at least a third of the Chinese (more than the population of the US), aren't looking at the US right now and saying, "Yeah, we want some of that."

Most of the declarations of that sort are usually just spin for their people by the government when they make plans to buy out some high-tech company. We saw this with Global Foundries, we're seeing this with Resilience, and we'll

It's a 300 MW reactor for CAD $7.7 billion. For context, we used to build GW scale reactors for 3/4th that amount (inflation adjusted). We can build GW scale solar for a third of that amount already.
