I'm not sure exactly how it works but if you look at the network requests for "how many emojis ios" vs "how many emojis android" the html for the initial page contains an internal server error whereas the android ve

I feel like people are missing some context here, this isn’t about Google Workspace vs Office 365. After the JEDI contract controversy, the DoD switched strategies to procure from multiple cloud vendors: https://www.defense.gov&#

I use s5cmd, it’s a fast parallel s3 cli client: https://github.com/peak/s5cmd Haven’t heard of rclone before so can’t compare yet but s5cmd is supposed to work against GCS and other s3 compatible apis.

Is there a library for homomorphic encryption that application devs can use? Is it practical to use this technology yet? Edit: I found this library from Microsoft but it only supports addition and multiplication, not comparisons and sorting

I have a huge collection of print books. I prefer print books because with ebooks I can easily just forget about them like any other webpage, blog post or paper. But when I have a physical copy it’s in my face, I can leave it on my desk, it

As a heavy BQ user on my side projects, there isn’t really an alternative to BQ in AWS. I find that RedShift does not provide a lot of the functionality and ease of use that BQ provides. That said the closest thing is Amazon Athena. The arc

This is great! The main questions I’m anticipating are “why cant we just improve the backend apis” and “why do we want the frontend team to own an Service?” I think your point of focusing on how the requirements of the BFF team differ from

Did you have problems caching between BFF and backend apis? We are trying to be able to have our FEEs write apis quickly while still having low operational load. Also curious how you convinced leadership about your BFF idea? How did you con

Sure, basically we have a standard microservices architecture and sometimes the needs of the frontend team and backend teams aren't aligned. For example, searching UX or Pagination UX needs are classic examples where scalable apis use

I used netbeans in high school when I was learning Java. The WYSIWYG swing editor is really nostalgic for me and helped me a lot, I’m glad to see it’s still active. Netbeans was actually an extremely good editor at the time, it was as good

On demand pricing is also a key benefit of cloud. Instead of needing to make a big initial spend on hosting infra you can pay only for what you need. The other big benefit is auto scaling, in 2012 lots of companies would launch and be unabl
