So the assumption is that the electricity you get is not "clean". You could check if your energy provider publishes some data on their website (like frequency and voltage stability). If not, or if the issue is within your house in

You're not supposed to look so closely! It seems to me, most LLM fans are impressed by glancing at a result ("It works!") and never really think about the flaws of the answer or look at the code in detail.

I mentioned this because you have a section called "What is parametric modeling?" where you explain this to the reader and it's not correct. You might want to fix that.

> When using Fusion360 or SketchUp, you're used to drawing a "sketch" with a mouse or stylus and then extruding it to obtain a 3D volume. The approach to creating a volume with parametric modeling is completely different.

With old MacBooks, the bottom bulges out and you notice because it doesn't sit on the four rubber feet anymore but on one central point – it wobbles and you can spin it around.

You all need to stop with the hair-splitting – it's tiresome. My intention was to offer something that might be of interest to the person I replied to – not to write the official definition of "Kotlin for Rust" which everybod

The commenter I replied to seems to like Kotlin. Swift is extremely close to Kotlin in syntax and features, but is not for the JVM. Swift also has a lot of similarities with Rust, if you ignore the fact that it has a garbage collector.

On macOS / Linux you can use `dd` to "copy" everything from /dev/yourssd to /dev/null. Just be careful not to do it the other way! https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/d

This reminds me of "Upgrade" – a sci-fi movie about a paralized man who gets an AI brain implant, which can move his body for him. It's pretty decent. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6499752

So the appeal for you, as the "user", is that you can easily customize the parameters which are made customizable by the designer and get a suitable model without requiring proprietary software (or any software at all). I can see

I've also been asking myself what people do with programmatic CAD. I've used OpenSCAD once to create a simple, cylindrical object, but about 80% of the things I create (using conventional CAD, like Fusion 360) would be way too com

That's such a typical MS "fix" – just preload it at startup. They've done the same with Office, SharePoint / IIS and probably other stuff too.
