Russia has strong allies in US and Europe. US has stopped supplying ammunition to Ukraine and Europe did not pick up the slack, so I don’t think Russia is delusional, they are just planning ahead.

Russia is invading a European country as we speak and openly claims ambitions to control all of the Eastern Europe at least (see Putin’s ultimatum of 2021).

How long will EPA survive? Trump promised to bring asbestos back last time. Will probably do it again if re-elected.

The expectation is that the price of AI bots will go down and get below the human-driven click farms we have now and thus make fighting bots too expensive because identifying humans gets harder every day.

That’s why we can’t have nice things. Are we at the end of Eternal September? Will all the signs of human life be restricted to paid or otherwise closed groups? If all free users are bots, who will even run ads that feed the Web 2.0 interne

More like people who can afford houses want bigger houses. If selling more affordable smaller houses made more profit then they would be sold.

You could block ads on the internet for a while, the problem was not in the technology, but have the desire and being literate enough to block ads. The Adblock-Ad delivery arms race had not begun in earnest. So far browser manufacturers hav

It crazy how they so eagerly hasten their own destruction of a short-term profit. As China becomes stronger their bargaining power weakens. What use will China have for them once it moves up the technological ladder? Only screw-ups of Chine

Too much private information collected for that ads will be catastrophic sooner or later. I don’t think that people got the real wake-up call yet. For example imagine someone getting addresses of all the Jews in town and doing something nas

100 oligarchs can own everything and trade among each other to fulfill their megaprojects. Does a pharaoh care who built his pyramid? Or spaceship? The workers will still be needed to laugh at their suffering. Unless robots get better than

No way Japan would have been able to consume the USA even if Midway was lost. A ground invasion of the US? How do you imagine that? Still a very important battle and a gripping story.

I still lament the effective death of physical phone keyboards, but it’s decided by the users already, apparently. The new generation got used to be typing on the screen and don’t even know what they are missing. Same with gaming: the gamep

You can use that for selection as well, tap somewhere else on the keyboard. Used to be even better with 3D Touch, you did not have to wait for the long press to register.
