True, but a lot of those people would rather use a safer language to prevent those bugs than write preventative code every single time, or remember to replace built in language features with their own functions every time.

Javascript lets you do anything wrong if you use == and not === though, I'm pretty sure the machine apocalypse is going to happen because someone types == instead of === at this point.

The defence against that for me is that I have like 6 rfid enabled cards in my wallet, between my Oyster Card, student ID, library card, key card to access my work building, you can't scan any of them without taking it out individually

I would just go for using height like you mentioned, if you, an average person is 6ft tall, someone with a better job than you would be up to a foot taller than you, a millionaire would be tall building sized and a billionaire would stretch
