Around the same topic, in two successive apartments I've been living in the app-based "disruptive" logistics services are unusable, apparently due to the way they are using GMaps. The legacy parcel delivery and mail companies

Had you tried Face ID, you would be aware that it requires no visible light. It works in the infrared spectrum and produces the required infrared light independently. Face ID also works a lot more reliably that Touch ID.

We need to make young people aware of the perils of urban sprawl. People in their 20s are flexible enough to consider alternative cities and regions to live in when building their career. Having friends and close family makes it more diffic

It's illegal in most of Europe, at least, to transport hazardous waste for disposal to places where it would get done inappropriately. Usually this is dealt with through finding a company that can claim to use the ship for something bu

It seems that both IC train number and RE line number appear for these kinds of trains, so for savvy passengers it is possible to recognise such connections. Allowing local travel in selected IC trains is pretty interesting, though.

It takes roughly the same time to reach Spain from London and southwest Germany, though. Meaning that London is closer to Spain by rail than most of Germany. Eurostar and (the rest of) the French high speed network really compensate some si

So, apparently there is no mandatory vehicle inspection in the US. Of course there isn't, it would violate the freedom to drive with an unroadworthy car.

Imgur was again an example of shitty design. I could not use iPhone’s quick look to check the screen shot. I had to open the page only to consent to all cookie usage, and after giving consent the image opened in the Imgur app. Why would it

One of my favourite anecdotes is about an employee of a not-so-successful video streaming startup not knowing Popcorn Time being illegal, promoting its use at the water cooler and apparently using their company laptop for using it.

I need to add that virtually no railroad operating companies own any railroads in Europe - even the private operators use public infrastructure. That is the case for Flixmobility’s Flixtrain as well.
