It is to me incredible, how many „developers“, even “10 years senior developers” have no idea how to use a dubugger and or profiler. I’ve even met some that asked “what is a profiler?” I hope I’m not insulting anybody, but to me is like goi

Yes, but I still don't understand that explanation. Clearly self is a descendant of Smalltalk, that purified a part; but still is a descendant. At least I understand the "ur-" as indicating linage, more about time as features

I don’t understand why self is placed in the list instead of smalltalk. Smalltalk came first, and Alan Key was the one who invented the “OOP” name. Also ML is seen as a child of Lisp.

I've seen similar effect with Montesori, Waldorf, Kumon methods. If something is wrong, is because it was misunderstood, or not properly done.

Thanks. That sentence is constantly repeated, as if it would be some kind of absolute truth. The fact is, for every end, there will be probably some means that are totally justified, and some that not. I think the original context is: no ma

If you look the table you will realize 9/10 means 9 of 10 included HW devices run. Is not a scale from 0 to 10. Is not a "out of ten" in usability scale. Just count the devices that work, vs. the ones included in the HW.

Context is important. Maybe that was told in the first 3 minutes of the briefing, and them came 30 minutes about the shocks. I would not assume the briefing was so thorough.

If anything, this makes the study more revealing and terrifying. Basically under ill guidance of authority, people can become real monsters. That is the conclusion I got from it, and is now still worse.

The line is fine. Even if I use GPS a lot, I still try to keep my ability to interpret maps and find my way. Same with calculators, even when today are dirt cheap, are not allowed in school, and being able to do math without it is a valuabl
