Welcome to project architecting, where the job isn't about putting more lines of code into this world, but more systems in place to track them. A well layered and structured codebase can grow for a very long time before it becomes too

I wouldn't expect them to. Large language models compress the information at a high-level. If you need specifics, you need a search engine and a data set. LLMs specifically aren't that, despite all the fuss and hype.

Reading this comment is depressing. How can you be so naive as to think that Google has your best interests in mind (and not their pockets')? They will absolutely serve you the content that has you stick on their walled garden for the

Yep, you can totally do that with Trilium. Instead of #topic, you would type @topic in the body of your note, Trilium will autocomplete trying to find matching references (containing "topic" in either their name or attributes or p

Trilium works alongside a SQLite DB. It backs-up your db.sqlite on a regular basis, lets you create manual backups, version-controls each and every note with checkpoints, supports full-encryption, and as soon as you set-up sync between clie

For the record, it's not forcing you in this or another way, you can just dump all your notes on a flat level and later browse a network of backlinks in Trilium like other similar systems. Where I find Trilium to shine though, is when,

If you need a little bit more than Joplin (which is a great notes taking app, but not so much of a PKMS), give Trilium¹ a try! (I used Joplin for a little while, and it's a good tool, and it's fine not to chase for more if you don

I inadvertently converted a longtime Logseq user to Trilium. In case you find yourself hacking too much around Silverbullet, or want to try something else, you should give it a try :-)

This is such a non-argument. Every non-toy XMPP client supports OMEMO¹, so it makes no practical difference. Signal only supports one single official client and will cut you from your account if you happen to have ergonomics, accessibility

For the record, XMPP has OMEMO as its standard E2E/PFS-preserving encryption protocol (based on your usual double-ratchet aka Signal encryption), which is regularly audited for security (and as recently as last month in the case of the
