   Taking into account they had to take extra steps to enable this "feature", they probably don't consider it to be "misconfigured", at least from their point of view.

   I haven't read TFA, but it happened to me on an ISP which had a CGNAT, probably as a way of garbage collecting open connections. The solution was to use an application-level keepalive, which winscp and putty support.

    I understand you. I have not played Cyberpunk but games from the TES family are extremely complex. It would be impossible for them not to have scripting bugs.

    If you need to force people to use alternatives it's because they are not much better to begin with. I've used the Signal app and it's a bug fest. Telegram is not even encrypted by default and there is no option for encrypt
