I have a single code base [0] for the self-hosted editions and for the SaaS. I split features up across two editions: community edition (CE) and enterprise edition (EE), and then also two modes: singleplayer and multiplayer (single- vs mult

Until moving to Windows, this made my mouse on macOS bearable. Removed all accel with 1600 sens so that when I went from macOS for work to Windows for gaming back to macOS for work, I wouldn't lose my mind. Nowadays I just stick to Win

That's right. I acknowledged that that increase in that comparison was likely biased since those people would also add a card, which increases conversion rate in itself (but also weeds out those that are uncommitted). But that doesn&#x

Thinking on this more: this wasn't the whole truth. I also have Keygen CE, which is the free self-hosted community edition, which could act as an unlimited-limited free trial (limited in the sense that it excludes EE features).

I think you misunderstood, or maybe I wasn't clear in my post. This wasn't an experiment on 2 separate groups; this was an experiment on the same group: those that convert from trial to paid. When I did X, conversion rate for the

For Keygen EE, my enterprise self-hosted edition, I do a 30 day no-strings-attached-trial. So it's different for self-hosted software, yes.

Agreed. I have usage limits (e.g. 100 active users), as well as a hard limit of 2k API requests a day for the free tier. This provides freedom i.r.t. PoCs but restricts production usage.

I don't think it would make a considerable difference. Not mentioned in the post, but I have a limited unlimited free trial. Taking into account the usage limits, it's not useful for a production deployment so it applies pressure

Same. I read Dune, and I read GitHub, and I got excited. I love reading game code so I ended up leaving a little disappointed.

I still think the same thing is happening with OpenAI. It's way too hyped vs its actual utility.

I don't use Tailwind but this is easy with CSS: label:has(+ input:disabled) { color: gray; } Not sure why Tailwind couldn't do this.

I'm still not following the limitation. You can use ~ in place of + in my example and it'll work for subsequent siblings too, not just for next sibling.

How is that a limitation of CSS? I would think the previous sibling would historically be harder (but doable with :has), since next sibling is the way CSS has always worked. .foo:has(+ .foo) vs .foo + .foo

I run an API SaaS and this looks great. I've wanted to add more SDKs to my lineup, but it's a big commitment for a single person to maintain. Right now, I have a minimal Go SDK to test the waters and definitively see how much effo

Ruby 4 should do what every other sane programming language does and require users to opt into multi-line mode via the /m flag. The fact that Ruby has this behavior at all is a major security issue.

Seeing as Neon, Nile, Citus, etc. are all open source, I highly doubt it. But who knows. In the end, most license changes are blown out of proportion by a vocal minority and largely have zero effect on 99.9% of users.
