It's useful to have a master key that decrypts everything. For each message that means encrypting for two keys - the recepient and the master key. The obvious drawback being the huge damage when a master key is inevitably leaked.

That there is a well established (if expensive) method to re-take the decentralized control should things go south. Same for open source software, the best pieces are generally run by a no-nonsense autocrats.

Probably depends on the manufacurer. From last ~10 or so rental cars in EU can't remeber last time I saw one with mph on the dial.

IMO this is pure FUD, no actual correspondence with Tesla to back it up. It would be silly for Tesla to argue that it's driver's fault because "beta". Every other car manufacturer will say it's driver's respons

Which could still be implemented as a single sensor per key + interpolation. I which case it really depends how good the software is in edge cases. Like two fingers close together in untypical location. Noting enough machine learning cannot
