Unfortunately it doesn't seem to support Instagram stories, which is the type of media I find myself wanting to save the most. OP: in case you weren't aware, websites that do this have been facing legal challenges recently, with s

I don't find reads to be very fast either. I have a lot of photos on my network drive, and opening or previewing them feels like I'm on dial-up or worse. On Windows, scrolling the folder in thumbnail mode renders them pretty smoot

At the risk of only being tangentially on topic, I want to recount a story about how sleazy financial institutions will be with their fees if given the opportunity. This happened to me with Fifth Third Bank; I knew it was sketchy as hell an

Would you be down to chat a little about your Blueprint experience and take a look at a tool I've been working on? Check my homepage (on my profile) for contact info if so, I'd be very thankful :)

Hey, I've been working on something I think is pretty cool to address some of the shortcomings mentioned here. If you're up for chatting about your experience and offering some feedback, mind hitting my profile and shooting me an

In a similar vein, I swear only about 30% of Apple Pay buttons I encounter on the web actually work. The rest produce a little popup with spinner briefly and then disappear. It's incredibly frustrating.

If you like this kind of question, I highly recommend the Wind of Change podcast, about whether The Scorpions song of the same name was written by the CIA. Super entertaining! https://crooked.com/podcast-series/wind-of-

I was just saying it's kind of ironic that pre-acquisition GitHub inspired confidence, and Microsoft-owned GitHub has been more "move fast and break things." I also don't just mean outages like this... it's clear th

I can't provide the reason, but I can add a story that might shed light on the answer. Years ago I was hosting a movie night and we were watching a dark, stylish black & white film that required subtitles. This was either in iTunes

OK here's a dumb one. You know how the label on EVERY toilet bowl cleaner bottle always says "Step 1: flush toilet"? I always dutifully followed those instructions, thinking "hmm, the extra splashing water must be pretty

The latter would probably work, but the first is invalid HTML – you can't nest interactive elements. Will browsers allow it? Yes. But it's still invalid per the spec.

Hey, a topic I know something about! I've done something similar to this: "tightening" text to resist wrapping but not prevent it. I'll describe: A subtle feature of OS X since its early days (but possibly not anymore) i

I suspect you are confused about what Remix is, unless I vastly misunderstand htmx. By example, a request comes into my app's web server at `/posts/123`: how would htmx be involved at all in (1) understanding the request, and

Yes, there’s only one active (non-bot) server but we play every night! “Discord PUB” is the server and it’s usually LakRabbit from around 4–6pm Pacific, then CTF for the rest of the night once enough people join up.

In case the T2 fans here weren’t aware, it’s a free download now and people still play. There’s a Discord community and we do pickup games every month or so. You can get it here: https://www.playt2.com/

Surely not every road or destination is going to have bike lanes, so isn't everyone going to have to mix with traffic eventually anyway? Having them in some places but not others is just confusing for everyone involved.

Even as a cyclist, when I hear of new bike lane construction, my feelings on the matter are "meh" or even negative. I think we should instead just normalize cycling among the cars (mostly by educating drivers, who either get pisse
